More than two decades ago, Siva and Vani arrived in London from the vibrant, flavour-filled streets of Chennai and Hyderabad. True foodies at heart, their journey together began not over candlelight, but over prasadam at a temple in East Ham a sacred bite that sparked a shared passion for food, culture, and community.

While Vani pursued her path in medicine and Siva in engineering, their evenings and weekends were often spent cooking for friends, family, and eventually crowds. What started as a humble side hustle became a full-fledged culinary movement under the name Nandini Caterers. From intimate gatherings to grand events serving over 3,000 guests, they won hearts through their food a fusion of tradition, innovation, and love.

For Siva and Vani, India is their janmabhoomi (land of birth), but the UK has become their karma bhoomi (land of action). They carry equal passion for both worlds embracing the hearty warmth of English classics and the vibrant, spice-laden soul of Indian cuisine. NH44 was born from a desire to bring these two worlds together, to blend English charm with Indian spice in a way that feels both familiar and exciting.

Inspired by the iconic highway that runs across India, connecting cities, cultures, and cuisines, NH44 is the next chapter of their journey.
